Target Audience Feedback

I did another survey to get feedback from my target audience. As you can see from the result the majority of them thought my magazine is a 'Pop' genre magazine which is correct so my magazine met the conventions of a pop genre magazine.
Everyone that filled out my survey thought my magazine is targeted at 12-16 year olds which is correct. They probably assumed this because of the colours used, articles and images.

Out of 20 people 19 of them liked my house style colours, this suggests that I chose the right colours as the majority of people like the colours used.
I priced my magazine £1.50 as I think it's quite cheap for a magazine, 19/20 people said they would buy my magazine which comes out weekly so I kept the price of my magazine how it is.
16 people said they would buy my magazine out of 19. One person skipped the question for some reason but I think the three people who said they wouldnt want to buy might not like pop and r'n'b genre music but think its a suitable genre for 12-16 year olds. It could also mean that they might like the magazine but dont buy magzines. As 16 people said would buy my magazine it doesnt affect me as its more than half of the people who did my survey.
All 20 people said my images are suitable for the genre and target audience which is really good. I think it's also suitable as the images used aren't provocative, they're more cute and suitable for the younger audience. The colours used makes the magazine look like a pop genre magazine as they're bright and colourful and not dark colours which associate with rock/hiphop genre music and grime etc.

Two people think my magazine doesn't look professional out of 20. The two people who said no probably think it doesn't look professional because their standards are high or some things are different on my magazine than most magazines. For instance on my contents page I put all the details on the bottom of the page rather than the top or side like the majority of magazines do.
There wasn't many suggestions how to improve my magazine as my target audience couldn't be bothered to think what to write down. However, there was a very few suggestions for example the two below.

Final Double Page Article

This is my final double page article, it is exactly the same as my draft but I made all the font the same size as it was different on the draft and I added a little advertisement of Jennis new single and album on the bottom right hand side, also, I changed the page number.

Final Contents Page

This is my final contents page, I used the same layout as one of my drafts but I changed the colour of the title to blue and I added more articles. I also changed one of the pictures and the article page numbers so they go in order instead of all over the place. I added a website to the cover as because my target audience are teenagers and they spend most of their time on the internet.

Final Magzine Cover

This is my final magazine cover that I did on Illustrator. I made the background white so it doesnt look too pink and I removed one of the puffs because it didnt seem appropriate for my magazine and added a new one instead. I moved the puffs around and spaced them out and I moved the barecode to the other side. Lastly, I changed the price to £1.50 as I thought £2.50 for it to be the first issue is quite alot and if the first copy is cheap and the target audience like the magazine then I can increase the cost of the magazine and earn more.

Editing photos and putting magazine together

I used photoshop to edit my pictures and most of the images below. I used the magic wand, lasso, magnetic lasso and the quick selection tool to make the background transparent so when I transfer thehimagae to Illustrator I can add a background of my choice if I wanted.

On this image I used the rubber tool to make the background transparentb on some areas where the other tools could'nt detect.

I have almost finished making all the background of the image transparent.

On this picture I was making my contents page and I was almost finished putting it all together.

This is the finished copy of my double page article draft, as you can tell it was inspired by the Nicki Minaj article below. I took the idea of having the same colour background and having the text going round the image as the Nicki Minaj article.
I've almost finished the front cover draft on this print screen shot, on this image im changing the font size and colour of one of the puffs.
This one of the finished drafts that I have done.
